About that Bugs on the Wire LP..... I've known about that one for years but only remembered it every now and then. Bought it on Ebay some weeks ago for a few quid. Nothing really essential and only partially On-U oriented, of course, but definitely nice to add to the collection. Beautifully designed and printed sleeve too! I was glad to find it. According to the SkySaw site 2000 copies were pressed; it pops up every now and then...

As far as I know the mix of Ravi Shankar on the LP is not available elsewhere, so that makes it worthwhile for sure.
Also the Truth Is Our Conviction LP has a harder version of Lighthouse than on the Night Train 12" and the Barmy Army tune is brilliant - Land Of Hope And Glory. One Mourning by Annie Anxiety is good too.

Plus on the Bugs LP Bim & Singers & Players "The Need To Live" is significantly longer than the version that was eventually released on the Bim compilation CD "The Need To Live" All in all definitely worth hunting down, I'd say!

Got there in the end, though at my age it was with the aid of my reading glasses and a torch!

Yes - it's a top track. Still can't understand half of what Bim's singing though! Anyone?

The full version is on CD on the slightly obscure US The Sound Of The Beat comp.
I'm terrible at hearing lyrics. Something something watching something or other. Suffering.

I have a (probably wrong) mental note tucked away from that time telling me that the version on that US comp is slightly different to the Bugs version I'll have to run them side by side and see...

So yes 12 years ago and we have this post ... finally I got around to Tabu riddim mix for Dani!
To add a bit more detail to the original question, there was indeed a dubwise version of Places I Won't Go, plus the reworked dub version from Dub Solidarity comp, I don't know any alt versions of the Ghetto Priest cut. I also feature two early mixes which were preparation works for the 2Badcard Meets The Ghetto Priest Earthquake In The Heart Of Rome project, before it morphed into Vulture Culture and some of the orphaned tracks found homes elsewhere.
