£13.11 all in seemed reasonable, so that's another off the never ending list. Cheers .

From the On-U FB group, the story of how this track came to be by Mirosław Maken Dzięciołowski:
I hope Jurek Kleszcz will share this story here, as he is responsible and actually this dubplate is for him 🙂 He did it once on my radio show, but it's all in Polish. Originally it was going to be an interview, but LSP changed his mind: "live interview"🙂 LSP does not remember this session at all, I asked him once about that day and mentioned "eskimo in Poland" etc.
and Jurek Kleszcz himself:
This piece was recorded in 1986 at Bury St recording studios in Central London during one of the Time Boom X De Devil Dead recording sessions. At the time I was doing some freelance work (interviewing artists, show reviews etc) for my brother, Wlodzimierz Kleszcz who was working at the Polish Radio and Non Stop magazine popularizing reggae music. Also during that time Adrian allowed me to hang out in the studios with him (as an informal apprentice) with a view to gain some understanding of dubbing principles so I could help some emerging polish reggae bands with their sound. I asked LSP a couple of times during the previous sessions if he would do an interview for the Polish Radio and on that day (after we had a couple of shots of Napoleon Brandy) out of the blue he asked Adrian to play the tune and came out with all the lines - neither Adrian Maxwell Sherwood or myself expected that the interview would take this format but this is Lee Scratch Perry, the Master. Give Thanks Adrian Maxwell Sherwood and Lee Perry for the upliftment that this music brought to the people in Poland!! One Love!

Funny, cos I had the line "King Perry in Berry Street, drinking Napoleon brandy with sugar and rum sweet" (or whatever it actually is) running through my head all day yesterday I bought a few cassettes and CDs directly from Wlodzimierz Kleszcz (of Kamahuk) back in the '90s probably. They were so cheap - just the equivalent of a few quid each. He could never find me a copy of the 4 Poland one though
