Just went through a list of RSD19 releases. Bumped into this one. Any clues?

The BBC session tracks on one side and some Sherwood remixes of tracks from their Afloat album on t'other side Refreshingly, on black vinyl 500 copies with a RRP of £19.99 (according to Reflex Records) Bit more here including a link to a film on Youtube which my crappy old laptop won't open... thenje.co.ukNJE + AMS = RSD

Thanks for the updates. Being not a jazz fan, the sound is definitely AMS. At least one record to go after on RSD19

Jazz in name only really, hence why they seem to refer to themselves as the NJE most of the time Hope the Madness fans don't snap them all up!

Gambled on driving into town at lunchtime and 101 Records had one left. I nearly missed it though, as I was expecting a pic sleeve rather than a generic white one. Snaffled a Viv Stanshall 7" as well. Couldn't resist. Hope others were lucky too.

First year I've not been able to get to my local shop. There are a couple already on Discogs at not too inflated prices but I think I'll wait until one minute past midnight next Saturday and see what I can find online... The sleeve thing is odd - the Discogs ones showed the generic sleeve too but I'm sure I've seen a picture of a full sleeve somewhere too

Having said all that blah about waiting until next Saturday, I just bought a sealed copy on Discogs for £20.00 inc p&p Got it from a seller called Earl_of_Essex, who, it turns out, is Terry Edwards

aaaaand..... I just got around to playing it! Wow - lovely, I really enjoyed it. The opening track Mystified is ace Enjoyed it so much I thought I'd seek out the original source and bought a cassette copy of Afloat from their Bandcamp - comes in a snazzy round tin with badges and a download card, all for 9 guineas, though the promised beermat was absent

From that Bandcamp link I see they also released both Afloat & Afloat in Dub as a limited (150) double CD tin last June. Available here.

I saw that and haven't given in to temptation yet, but I'm sure I will. There was a foam disc in the tin with the tape too. If anyone buys the CD and there's one in there, remove it. Over time it will react with the CD. I had a box of Yello CD singles back in the late 80s which had a foam insert and I hadn't looked at it in years but when I did the foam had broken down and was stuck to one of the covers
