Well, thinking about it anyway, as I have been for a while... Haven't got any lists, but if you're after something I might well have it, and might be persuaded to part with it PM me and we'll take it from there Off for a lie down now

I have no lists either. Let's make it easy on both of us. I'll just send the truck round and load it all up.

A van (Transit-sized) should suffice!

There's a story from colleagues at University of Glasgow that in the roof space of one of their old buildings, there was a huge water tank, possibly dating back to the experiments of James Watt. Of course it was no longer needed, and a big tank of water at the top of a building is a bit of a liability. So they were looking to get rid of it, and started to drain it off. Then they found the supports for the building were shifting as the weight drained away, it having grown into having that weight there. In the end, the solution was to place sand ballast in the tanks instead, to re-balance everything out.
So I won't send the transit around until you've checked your structure and allowed for compensation for the shift in weight.

I have often wondered if the house would realign itself if I were to shift all the weight. I'm hoping that by letting go only a couple of things at a time the results won't be too catastrophic... So far the removal of three CDs, four CD singles, two 12" and two 7" haven't produced any notable effects - apart from the increase in my PayPal balance!
